This afternoon, I met with some absolutely brilliant women and girls in Science from the University of Derby to discuss my role as Science Minister and answer their questions about the present and future of women and girls in science and STEM subjects.
How appropriate it was that it was science and technology that allowed us to meet together virtually today.
I always love speaking with students, especially those with such a passion and thirst for knowledge, so it was an absolute privilege to spend some time with them on such an important day.
With such incredible women progressing into such exciting careers, we can be assured that the future of science, research, innovation and technology is in very capable hands.
