It is incredibly disappointing for us all to hear that Chris Kirchner has withdrawn his bid to buy Derby County. I am however confident that there are still interested parties and that the administrators are engaging with them. I, along with colleagues welcome the fact that the EFL are now taking a more active role to secure a deal. This evening I have spoken to the Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston to discuss the current situation.
I will be pressing for updates and a resolve of the situation as soon as possible.
