Today I visited the amazing Drew and Raj at Derby Arena vaccination centre to see how the vaccine roll out has been going since I visited a few weeks ago. I was pleased to hear they are now doing what was a weeks worth of vaccinations daily and overall are really pleased with how the programme has been going.
I could really sense the positivity from all volunteers and those who were receiving their vaccinations to know that every vaccination is a step closer to normality.
If you are over 70 and have not received your vaccination please come forward by calling your GP or 119.
If you’re under 70 please wait to be contacted and a avoid ringing your GP’s for vaccination appointments in order to avoid overwhelming the phone lines.
I’ll be keeping in close contact with the team to help make sure the roll out goes as smoothly as possible.
