This morning, I and my Conservatives MP colleagues Heather Wheeler MP, Maggie Throup MP and Kate Griffiths MP had one of our regular virtual catch ups with Gavin Boyle and his colleagues from University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust to discuss a number of topics including the process of providing our amazing NHS Keyworkers with their second jabs, their #noplaceforracism campaign, the NHS' long term plan and the members of their team who have recently won awards.
You may also remember that I attended an authorised visit to the hospital a few weeks ago, to see how the vaccination process was going and what Derby North residents could expect to experience on their visits there.
I can honestly say that their hub is run exactly as you would want it to be, with clear signage throughout, a one way system, a regular cleaning process and a friendly, welcoming and reassuring atmosphere.
I want to say a huge thank you to Gavin and all his team at #RoyalDerbyHospital for everything they do - their work is literally saving lives.
