As the Summer Recess ends and Parliament returns, I've been reflecting on everything I've been able to do, across Derby North, over the last few weeks.
My recess diary has included:
Lots of meetings with residents and local officials, including councillors, Chief Superintendent David Cox of Derbyshire Constabulary and Nigel Brien from Derby City Council.
Visits across the Constituency, including Derby City Boxing Academy, Derby Rowing Club, Darley Abbey Cricket Club, Aspire Community And Wrestling Alliance and the NZCA Summer Garden Party.
A number of incredible large events, including The Chaddesden Big One (where I judged the Dog Show Competition) the Chaddesden Park Allotments Open Day, Mickleover FC Hot August Night and the Hannells #DarleyParkConcert.
Several walkabouts and On-Street Surgeries with Mickleover Councillors, Chaddesden Ward Councillors, Derwent Ward Team and Chaddesden, Derwent, Oakwood and Spondon Police SNT to meet with residents and local business owners
Delivering my Summer 'Derby North Matters' Newsletter, which has gone out to thousands of residents already and will go out to thousands more over the next few weeks, helping to keep residents updated about what I've been up to
Writing and sending hundreds of letters and emails on different types of casework, as well as 'Thank Yous,' 'Congratulations,' 'Good Lucks,' and more
And, of course, spending some time with my family and friends
