Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity Appeal
During my visit to the Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity Open Day and Jumble Sale Event, I spoke to Steve about what kind of donations their volunteers are currently in need of.
Over the last few months, Derby residents have been incredibly generous, donating food, clothing and toiletries, that at the moment they are not able to accept everything people wish to donate.
Steve and the DRS Volunteer Teams are currently appealing for donations of used push bikes, used but functioning mobile phones and financial support, to help those they assist to have a safe method of transport and to keep in contact with their family.
If you have a mobile phone sitting in a drawer or a bike which you are no longer using, why not donate it to this cause?
Or, if you don’t have either of these but would like to donate, Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity will be at St Anne’s Church on Thursday and Saturday mornings and can accept any donations at these times.
