This afternoon, I attended the launch of the brand new Derby Riverboat, which, from Spring 2022, will be taking passengers on tours up and down the River Derwent.
The boat, named 'Outram' after the famous Derbyshire Engineer, is the product of months of work between Derby City Council and Derby and Sandiacre Canal Trust and is part of a series of 'Our City Our River' regeneration projects which aim to enhance the city's use of the River.
Once up and running, the boat will carry 12 passengers on a 45-minute roundtrip with commentary discussing Derby's cultural and industrial history.
It was a pleasure to attend the launch alongside Councillors and stakeholders from across the City.
