On Saturday, I visited the absolutely amazing Derby Extreme Cheerleading Academy to meet with Christina, Niamh and all the incredible young girls who make up their recreational and professional teams.
Over 170 Cheerleaders, of all abilities, are part of their group, with members ranging from two years old to early 30s and the dozens if not hundreds as awards, medals and trophies are achievements they should all be very proud of.
During my visit, I spoke with Christina and Niamh about their 10 year journey, from teaching courses to an award-winning Cheerleading Academy, and how families in Derby North can get involved.
